We desperately need to change our vocabulary, forcing us to change our thinking. We can start by refusing to call the building where we meet a “church.” Then we can stop talking about “going to church” or “attending church” or “being late for church.” After that we can start referring to the believers with whom we assemble as the “congregation” or “community” of which we are a part.
